Manual to posting videos on social media

When posting videos to social media through its API (as third-party platforms like Swonkie connect with social media) you will encounter restrictions that, if exceeded, will prevent publications from being sent.

This does not happen when the publication is made on the social network itself (natively), however, all social networks apply restrictions to users who publish through the API.

Below are identified the restrictions of each of the social networks.

• Maximum duration: 59 minutes
• Maximum size: 99 mb

• Duration: Between 6 seconds and 59 seconds
• Maximum size: 99 mb
• Format: MOV or MP4
• Dimensions: Between 320x320 px and 1920x1920 px
• Frame rate: Between 23 and 60 FPS
• Recommended Video Bitrate: VBR, 5 Mbps maximum
• Audio Codec Settings: AAC, 48khz
• Audio format: mono or stereo
• Pixel aspect ratio: 1:1

• Duration: Between 3 seconds and 60 seconds
• Maximum size: 99 mb
• Format: MOV or MP4
• Dimensions: Between 320x320 px and 1920x1920 px
• Frame rate: Between 23 and 60 FPS
• Recommended Video Bitrate: VBR, 5 Mbps maximum
• Audio Codec Settings: AAC, 48khz
• Audio format: mono or stereo
• Pixel aspect ratio: 1:1

• Container: MOV or MP4 (MPEG-4 Part 14), no edit lists, moov atom at the front of the file.
• Audio Codec: AAC, 48khz sample rate maximum, 1 or 2 channels (mono or stereo).
• Video Codec: HEVC or H264, progressive scan, closed GOP, 4:2:0 chroma subsampling.
• Frame Rate: 23-60 FPS
• Picture Size: Maximum Columns (horizontal pixels): 1920
• Required aspect ratio is between 0.01:1 and 10:1 but we recommend 9:16 to avoid cropping or blank space.
• Video Bitrate: VBR, 25 Mbps maximum.
• Audio Bitrate: 128 kbps (will be processed by Swonkie)
• Duration: 300 seconds (5 minutes) maximum, minimum longer than 0 seconds.
